So I had bit of a mandolin emergency. I opened my case, and the nut was broken and the low string was all floppy. I guess it could happen to anyone at any time, so, I figure I’ll just try to innovate adapt and overcome. Here is my Mandolin entry for the Circle Will be Unbroken, minus a string. ~ Carl

Well, I made it through the beginner and intermediate, Sort of! Now on to trying the banjo and mando. So fun! Hope this link works. Shot on my iPhone then the forum said the video is too big.

Hi Kelly, Welcome to @BanjoBen 's Forum. Fantastic to see Bella’s entry, It’s really amazing to see kids take to musical instruments. My grand kids wont go near a stringed instrument but they love brass.

@Archie Thanks for the compliment! I really appreciate it! All I used to record these two videos was an android smartphone with the camera in “selfie” mode. I thought it captured the video fairly well for a cheap smartphone.

Thank you so much! Bella wears hearing aides so when she asked for a mando we were hesitant but she has really enjoyed it! You just never know what a kid will take to!
