I would repair it (and the badly worn frets) but it (the guitar) was very cheap and not worth the price of repairs

Sounds like a perfect candidate to learn repair techniques on. You can’t get formica like just anywhere!

It would be, but I don’t have the tools to repair it (maybe?) And unfortunately it also happens to be the guitar I play the most (for various reasons)
