The original Whataburger was in Corpus Christi, Texas. I think there’s a replica of the original building in that town now.
The chain was bought out by a big corporation last year who plans to expand it across the nation. Ben should be getting one a few miles from his house some time this year.
They have the best hamburgers in Arizona
@Archie you must be pretty bored if you are searching the Whataburger site LOL
I recall when my wife and I moved from Arizona to Ohio we went into one of Ohio’s so called Authentic Mexican food restaurants because we were wanting some Mexican food it was not even close to authentic they had no clue what a shredded beef Chimi Changa was everything was ground beef we had to actually drive to Tennessee just to get authentic Mexican food
went to the grand old opry while we were there most expensive Mexican food we ever ate
Ditto around my place too! This makes me wanting to go to “Five Guys”! They claim fresh ground beef, peanut oil, and no freezer! And they always give free unlimited roasted peanuts!
Ah, Whataburger… got hooked on it during g a trip to the FL panhandle and now we HAVE to stop whenever we’re in the vicinity… fortunately we have a few locations here in AL !!!
where’sa whatsaburger!? whatsa whatsaburger?
I’m still lobbying to get a Waffle House up here…
Double Whataburger with cheese and jalapeno’s large french fries and a Root Beer and your set
@Fiddle_wood you are desperate lobby for a I hop LOL
the other thing I remember when my wife and I moved to Ohio they didn’t have a jack in the box either being from Arizona I would get a craving for jack in the box tacos and we would have to take a drive to Kansas city just to get tacos from jack in the box LOL they finally got a Jack in the box in Ohio pretty close to our home a few months before we decided to return to Arizona
If any one is trying it for the first time I’d suggest to save room for an apple pie! They actually still fry their pies. MY “normal” order is a Whataburger with cheese and an apple pie.
Born in Ohio, raised in Ohio, still live and work in Ohio and travel the whole state of Ohio for a living! Never heard of Jack in the Box ('cept for the toy where the clown pops out)! Where and what is it?!
Really?! I thought they were everywhere! My wife doesn’t care for it but my son and I sneak off to one every now and then… Good food!
I had a chance to eat a couple of times or more at Jack in the box in Phoenix 5-6 years ago, but that’s all I could remember. I also remember eating at a Native Indian restaurant in AZ where they served fry bread!
@jw11 we lived in a town called Middletown it is half way between Dayton and Cincinnati we lived there from 2009 -2013 I do not recall the town that they built the Jack in the box but I do know it was going towards Cincinnati if i am remembering correctly it was somewhere around kings Island around mason but not real sure of that either
The home we purchased was built in 1889 and it was haunted was on Sutphin street one of the first two houses built on that street in Middletown was one of the few things we found out about it
Address of Jack in the box restaurant in Ohio
7425 Tylersville RD, WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP,
OHIO 45069
I’ll have to check it out… that’s not far from me at all (I’m just NW of Dayton). I used to work in Monroe years ago.
Ken (Welder) lives down that way (in Lebanon)… wonder if he’s been there.
Thanks!
@Don_Smith, cool, I think then you might also like the real Indian fry bread too, which is called Poori, served with a potato gravy.
@jw11 I just did a search and i am not sure but I think it may still be the only one in Ohio that one I gave you the address for is the first one built there my wife and i went to their grand opening and they were serving everything on their menu at no cost everything was free that day I think I ate like 25 Tacos LOL that day
I’ve heard them called the “Affle House” before…
I do miss the Steak and Shakes in Ohio don’t miss the white castles though my wife kept raving about these little hamburger things telling me I had to try them, talking about the white castles I think I ate one and that was enough for me I do miss Ohio though I miss the seasons here in Arizona we have two seasons brown or browner
I think I better pass on that I am already fat enough LOL, my doctor keeps telling me I am to fat and tells me to quit eating this and that and something else and everything he names off I already do not eat so I just respond that’s not a problem I can do that maybe one of these days he will actually name something I do eat he keeps telling me to eat chicken which I cannot stand
Whataburger doesn’t charge you extra for lettuce or ‘tomaters’.
Yeah better to stay away from the table.
I guess then you need to taste Chicken 65 in some good Indian restaurants to like chicken!
