Hard to believe it but I am pickin some banjer today. Working on Peaches ‘n’ Cream Alan Munde DVD Ver. Boys of Bluehill - Harvest Home Key of D Heath Joyce. These are my warm up practice tunes. Study today: In The Garden Key of D Butch Bost. Great Speckled Bird Key of D @BanjoBen TAB. Can’t find the Lesson but the TAB is dated 2017 think this came out of a conversation about playing in the Key of D and Triplets.

Tonight we are driving over to Dallas to see Greensky Bluegrass. Defintely not a trad band but I have seen them one other time and they put on a great show.

I decided to finally get some “keeper” banjos in the collection after holding off on it for a long while and getting less expensive instruments. The banjos I have are still nice instruments, but not exactly what I wanted. So anyway, I’ve done some buying and plan to do some selling (and also befriended Tom Nechville at IBMA and got an endorsement deal with him which I’m super thankful for) and acquired a Nechville Photon and a 1989 Gibson RB-3. I was super impressed with the Nechvilles at IBMA and love the innovative design, I still need to own a Mastertone style banjo as well though and a Rich era Gibson is something I’ve always wanted. Super pumped about it!

Congrats @Mason_Crone on the endorsement! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Photon after you’ve got some mileage under your fingers.

Congrats @Mason_Crone!

After several years of unsuccessful online attempts to draw an archery elk tag in Idaho, I decided to fly out this year and try in person. I spent the [cold] night outside the Fish/Game office and was successful yesterday morning! Flying back home today and begin the long prep for archery elk season next September.

If I may be the ‘bright idea guy’ for a moment. We have the provisions for a wild game night feast at the Oct '25 Banjo Camp right? Duck, elk, venison, etc. This is a great idea, right?

**Doing calculations to determine amount of game required to feed ~80 folks.
**Factoring in campers from California who will opt for chicken nuggets.

Hmmm…it may require some more trips with @rspillers
