What are y'all up to?

I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only one @Mason_Crone . Did you know that 72.5% of people can’t ride a banjo. He’s a faulty link to prove it.

Headed to the Bloomin’ Bluegrass Festival in Farmer’s Branch, TX, this Fri/Sat. I’ll play a set with my sisters’ band and have a store tent during the festival. Come say hi if y’all are in the area! https://www.bloominbluegrass.com/

Serious super duper camp prep started bright and early this morning. In 72 hours 50+ banjo campers will descend upon the farm…here we go!

I guess I never gave an update on seeing Sierra Hull but surprise…it was awesome. I was the about the 5th peson in the down and went straight to the stage in the center. We the stage height was less than 3 feet high so I was right at Sierra’s mandolin when she stood at him vocal microphone (I could actually reach out to the mic stand but didn’t dare). She played her octave mandolin on several songs and guitar on a couple.

Her show was one of my top music experiences. She did a few songs that will be on an upcoming album. Since my wife couldn’t come down with me she has heard me say about 100 times “I can’t express how incredible that show was!” The only thing that could have been a disappointing was my own fault, the setlist was put right in front of me before the show so there were no surprises on the songs that were going to be played (I know, big issue there  )

That sounded like it was a cool show. I saw her in Richmond a few days after her tour started. Due to more than 1 broken down tour bus, and a sick bass player, she had to adjust her show but it didn’t matter, it was still really good.

Any of y’all done the country music hall of Fame in Nashville?
Is it worth the extra money for a guided tour?

We haven’t, but we did the Grand Ole Opry tour which was really neat!

We did not do the guided tour but I can saw the museum visit is great. It’s been a few years but it seems like we spent 2-3 hours going through it.

It’s worth going but I’ve never done the guided tour.

One week from today I’ll be leaving with my team for Tapachula, Mexico…it’s as far down in Mexico as you can get, on the border with Guatemala.

We’ll be teaching a week-long theology class on biblical interpretation & application to a group of ~100 pastors and lay leaders.

This is my 2nd year to go, but my first time to do the entire thing in Spanish. I’ve worked hard–I’m extremely nervous but confident in what the Lord will do through my very obvious weaknesses.

And, of course, there will be tacos. Many, many tacos.
