My friends and I had the opportunity to share a little about some of our locally made guitars by M W Davis & Co. If you’re ever looking for a locally made guitar in the Ozarks, be sure to check them out. The videos really don’t do them justice.
What are y'all up to?
I looked them up. Look like a great value. I’ll hopefully get to play one!
We had a special supper planned in Nashville for Monday night. You’ll hear more about it later, but it was a planning/prayer meeting of some super talented folks that I hope to collaborate with in the near future. It seemed pretty crazy to drive to Nashville (20 hours total driving) for a single supper/meeting, but last week we got an offer on the house and went under contract. Turns out the inspections got scheduled for Tuesday (yesterday), so our planned trip to Nashville ended up being a perfect combo of getting the house ready and having the planned supper. Just wanted to say that God is good and I’m thankful it worked that way.
Of course, we don’t count chickens before they hatch anymore, but it seems like this buyer is the one. We just have to make it through the appraisal stage and that’s a sticky situation. I would appreciate prayers for the house sell over the next couple weeks, thank you.
Love when things work out that way! Sending prayers!
Duck… Prayers heading your way!!
Hope all goes well for you @BanjoBen. You’re always in my prayers. Blessings on you and your family.
Will do! Hope the process goes smoothly!
Mom and I are returning home from Utah today after scattering my stepfather’s ashes in Canyonlands National Park. The scenery is amazing! This is the Green River overlook, one of the five sites where permitted visitors can leave cremains.
We are catching a show that won’t have any mandolins or fiddles tonight. Bryan Adams with Joan Jett and the Black Hearts as the opening act. Not sure how this show got sandwiched between Ricky Skaggs and next weeks Sam Bush concert.
Weird Al apparently left a deep impact on my life. I would probably be the only person chuckling uncontrollably through the entire song “I love Rock and Roll”
@Mike_R I have to admit that before the show I hear the title line of I Live Rocky Road in my a a few times
Happy Independence Day y’all!
Great pickin and vocal harmonies Katy Lou & Penny Lea. Thank you for sharing @Lone_Wolf Emilie
They played it at camp but I didn’t get a video then I was really excited when I found it. Glad you enjoyed it
We are having a vigil for my mom. She will likely pass today. She and my dad used to live on a lake, and we’d have a big get together and fireworks show. The show would be about 30 minutes and synchronized to music—all retail fireworks, but we’d pretty much buy out the store. After the show we’d play “What a Wonderful World” and have a massive sparklers party for all in attendance. Here are some videos from a few years ago. Just the closing 8 minutes and some of the sparklers part. These videos are heartwarming for us as mom is the glue that has kept us together.
Hang in there Jeff. I share your experience when both my parents passed. You and you family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Jeff, those are wonderful memories. Praying for you and your family for the peace of God to reign in your lives during this difficult time.
