What are y'all up to?

I mean I wouldn’t say he’s my favorite vocalist when he’s not just because I like his guitar playing. I don’t say he’s good at something when he’s not like some people do about some people (hint)

Oh. Well Tony actually IS one of my favorite lead vocalists, even if he had never been a guitar player. His timbre was very unique and balanced, until he started losing it.

I could’ve guessed :frowning:

Now you sound like our good pal Mason, diminishing good vocal talent!

He may have been better at singing than at other things he did

Not defending any of his personal life decisions :joy:

I’m trying not to start a fight but I think I was plenty obvious in what I meant

I am assuming you meant his smoking and drinking habits, if not then please clarify.

I’ve always liked this video although I don’t think Tony has a huge part in it, the band is named after him though! And no, its not because Ricky Skaggs is in it…

That video almost gets me emotional. :joy: It’s so nostalgic.

Was just watching that yesterday. You think he’s better than Jake? ()

Ok you asked for it - :guitar:

Oh can I also point out what an underrated guitarist Wyatt is??

Well it’s because of his last name I assume

Dude, this is like 1 year before he cut himself off from civilization. :joy: This is not the performance to compare to Jake!!

No, it’s because he’s one of the best rhythm guitarists in bluegrass history, and a fine soloist too.

Well, to be fair, you’re welcome to compare it to the worst performance of Jake you can find

Jake’s not in that rough of shape yet, maybe I’ll send one to you when he’s 80.

Another reason to prefer Jake But to each his own.

Also, Tony is only playing rhythm in that one, and there are also videos where Jake only plays rhythm, so go ahead compare one of those. Keeping in mind that Tony was in very bad pain in that vid
