What are y'all up to?

Scream and cheer really loud. We did, and we heard from 5 of the band members including Ricky that it made the show much more fun for them to play! Russ told us they rarely get an enthusiastic crowd.
(That is, if you’re the type that doesn’t mind sounding ridiculous, borderline obnoxious, to the people sitting around you. I don’t mind a bit - especially if Jake is on stage!)

Libby, Here in the UK we like to listen to the music, then show our appreciation. wonky So if you ever come over here to perform you’ll know what to expect.

Well that was AMAZING. They came out and kicked off with Pig in a Pen, and I’m not sure I’ve grinned so large in my life.

Yup! I hadn’t seen them live before this.

That’s funny. This crowd was relatively quiet, and I’m pretty sure I was the youngest person there. I just listen and then clap though; I never like loud crowds… but that’s weird me. :joy: I guess I just don’t get why people want to keep applauding after the song starts.

Unfortunately, Franklin Theatre doesn’t allow recording.

Sounds like you had fun!! Pig in a Pen was the one song they didn’t do at our show that I was hoping to hear! They’re amazing aren’t they!

I guess from my experience performing on stage with our family band, I know a fun crowd to play to is one that cheers after the solos in the middle of a song; so I try to be that crowd when I’m listening to a show. We were going wild for every note they played haha. I’m sure they’re used to more quiet crowds though, and it seems like the theater crowd is typically pretty old.

Did you get to talk to any of them?

Nah, we left right after the show– it was getting really late.

I’m whooped. Bad day yesterday & up all night trying to get things figured out with no success.

Worked an hour this morning & not feeling to good, so came back home. Breakfast settled my stomach some…guess I’ll try to get some sleep now

I hope that you get some rest and get to feeling better Dave.

@Treblemaker, Thanks for letting me know. Still trying to figure out where everything is…looks like you’re not far away at all!

@xmark , @Treblemaker lives about 10 miles closer to Mayberry than I do……

All I’m doing is working these days. There has been very little playing in the last 4 weeks. I did take my 5 year old grandson hiking at Hanging Rock state park. He wanted to hike Moore’s Wall to see the fire tower. He did the 4 miles and never complained.

We are finally getting that nice crisp autumn air in the evening down here. Had a little campfire out back tonight. There’s an amazing full moon (well, it’s technically not full till tomorrow). “The Hunter’s Moon.”
If you didn’t get the chance to enjoy the view tonight, it’ll be back tomorrow! :fire::full_moon:

If they don’t do good work, it’s tough, but you just have to let them go.
