What are y'all up to?

I’m having BWS symptoms (Banjo Withdrawal Syndrome), but hopefully on the road to recovery…
New job, new home, new city & state (Greensboro, NC)…banjo was in storage with a family member for almost 3 months (although I did get visitation rights for about an hour twice). Pulled it out of the case night before last for the first time in quite a while…my fingers are soft and sore now! We’re looking forward to some normalcy around the house once we find everything, and now trying to carve out some time for more banjo therapy in the very near future. :grinning:

@xmark
Best wishes in your new job, at a new home in a new city & state!

I know how that is!! 20 years ago moved 1200 miles away & it took me a really long time to find a few things that had been in storage & I think a few somehow got lost in the shuffle! Hope that doesn’t happen to you!! Glad to hear your back to pickin again!

Been listening to some of the stuff the David Grisman Quintet did back in the 70’s and 80’s.

How does a person ever learn these crazy songs? :joy: I guess Tony may have felt similarly when he joined…

According to Tony, he did.

A buddy and I learned several tunes from those guys back around the time they came out.

Can’t remember much of them anymore…maybe Swing 51, Mar West, and Birdland Breakdown.

Headed to the new farm in Texas tomorrow morning! This will be our first time there as owners and we’re very excited, will begin to work hard getting it ready for Cabin Camp this November!

I look forward to it. What kind of farm is it? Arable, Dairy, Beef or Purple Pea ?

It has barns/stables and crossfences for cattle/horses, but we grow mainly hay and do some peas, yep.

Can’t help but wonder if he’s a really light guy? or if he’s being carried against his will? (LOL)

It’s a long trek from Mt Juliet Tennessee to Kilgore Texas. But carrying the video guy that’s quite a challenge.

He might have meant ( if he’s small) he’s going to put him in carry-on luggage. A larger fella might fit in checked baggage. The cheaper way to fly… :wink:

No I sure didn’t should have. Got one of the Best brisket sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life though! It was my first time in one. I’m a fan :grin:
