@Simone Great to hear that; it’s such a cool experience getting through a song successfully! “Did I actually just do that?!!”

You all ever heard this ?

I was at a jam with some old band mates last night and we played a couple songs from this album. Crucial Smith was short-lived but made a mark. Got to see them once in Athens, GA.

Hmm, I don’t remember being in that jam, but you just described me… I love that tune! It works well on mando.

Happy birthday Archie!

I’m sitting in the airport about to fly to Mozambique to visit my family for a month!
I went and busked at the farmers market this morning and made a pretty penny too!

Thank you all for your good wishes. I had a great evening. Anytime I get to spend with my girls is very precious they both work full time. they also have their own party plan business and each has young teenage - twenty year old families with all the demands that brings. Covid has made life difficult for us all this past year or more with lockdowns and family separations, my grandson just contracted Covid last weekend after a trip to Newcastle with friends all but two contracted the virus so he is having to self isolate from the rest of the family he is 19 but he is in good spirits as he just landed a new job as a trainee manager.

I got a new archery bow this year and changed a lot with my setup. I have a big hunt in New Mexico coming up in September that I’ve been saving up for for a LONG time, it’s quite the opportunity. I always wish I was in better shape and shooting better but I’ve done about all I can do.

Also, we bought a part of the farm I grew up on from a cousin of mine, butts up to my mom’s place. We have no idea when we’ll move there but I will have a camp there in November. We’re going down for the first time the first week of September to start working on it–we’re really excited about that. I can’t wait to host folks in Texas for camp!

I’ve always fantasized about hunting Wild Boar in Texas. Don’t know if it’s what it’s cracked up to be, but I do love Pork. We’ve got Whitetail Deer by the truckloads on our 200-acre farm here in Michigan, but Linda (wife) gets tired of the constant supply.

I grew up killing hogs every way you can kill them: trapping, dogs, stillhunting, etc. It’s still a passion of mine and they’ve gotten more numerous and destructive over the years. I need to work a Cabin Camp hog hunting workshop into the schedule! They’re all around my farm.

A Cabin-camp hog-roast, banjo, guitar picking, good fellowship and a Texas sunset. It’d be a challenge to improve on that. I’m ready to join if I can qualify! ( Being from Michigan and all … )

One of the things I look forward to at Texas Cabin Camp is introducing new folks to Texas. There are quite a few folks signed up for this fall that have never been there.
