got it yesterday, about 15 minutes before I had to go to work. Got it all tuned up, and time to go. I will be hitting it when I get up this afternoon for sure. I am on nights 5 to 5 until Monday.

lol, I got up at 0430 to take daughter to Dr. in Raleigh. Got home around 12 ish … waited… and waited. banjo arrived. tuned it, went to work at 1530. got home at 0630… yep, I went to bed, lol. Shhhh… I brought it to work tonight though

Believe me… I told the wife and daughter I would be standing on the bed waking them up with beautiful BANJO music. Well, as beautiful as I could make it anyway,

My practice time goes way down when my kids are back home. No matter how softly I play my mandolin, it must travel straight to their ears. I know I have no volume control on my fiddle, so I don’t even try

Went to see Billy Strings last nite! Was a great & late evening! Got several videos too! Lots of improv, energy, nice vocal harmonies, killer breaks. Even a popped banjo string that you can hear (&see) on the ‘my sweet blue eyed darlin’ vid. I’ll attach a few links here if anyone’s interested. (The rest can be found on my YouTube.) Thats a long trip from Jackson to Old Faithful! Oh wait, bet you went from West Yellowstine to snowmobile in! Did you stay @ Old Faithful lodge? I so love that building. Was always going to get married there, but no husband came along! 
You drove by my place if you indeed went to West to go into Old Faithful, well, at least about 60 miles from it!

We have moved on in our house Marie would often comment “If I hear that passage on your guitar one more time”. My saviour has proven to be Channels such as Hallmark.

@stuart.gamble, yes!, show was fantastic! It was @ Huntsville AL Mars Music Hall which was sold out & standing room only except for about 100 seats in the mezzanine. We got there early stood in line about an hour & half & were lucky to get seats up there! Went to see him in Birmingham AL @ The Saturn last March (also excellent show) & also standing room only. In Birmingham we were standing right at the stage & right beside a big ole speaker which was cool at first but then…well… yeah… 
The seats in Huntsville made the evening a whole lot nicer 
! Hope yall have a great time @ the show
