@Michael_Mark do you like Eddie Barbash now?
The Spiral Discussion. STATUS: Attention Homeschooled - A poll/survey for you!
No, I was already aware that he played Tony’s solo verbatim to Gold Rush…
(Ok I am fully aware that he is an amazing saxophonist and great at what he does, but I’m still not a big fan of that version of Gold Rush…)
What impresses me more is when a sax player can play really tasteful stuff WITH Tony Rice… (A.K.A. Sweetheart Like You)
But sax just doesn’t have good timbre for bluegrass IMO.
It honestly depends on the style of grass. Sax sits in a very similar tonal space to fiddle, so it can work nicely in a context where fiddle is wanted.
Okay guys, I’ve learned that Gunnar, @Dragonslayer, actually talks normal, he just becomes an intellectual poet on this forum. He’s commented on my channel for awhile but I didn’t recognize him here I just made the connection yesterday haha.
Have you heard what they’re calling “country” nowadays? It’s literally just a boy from Alabama rapping to a beatbox. That’s what most of it is now.
I love how you made the connection because I voiced my (high) opinion of Sam Bush
I usually use a more blunt tone on YouTube so the people on there will understand me.
But go find any comment I’ve made on one of Rebbecca Rovny’s videos to see if I become utterly devoid of eloquence on the tube
Well, I recognized your profile picture. Before I joined the forum I never paid attention to your name when you commented. Then you commented yesterday and I recognized the “Gunnar Salyer”, and I also recognized your profile picture from your previous comments. I was like “Wait a minute…”
Never looked closely at it. I have an idea, but it’s weird…
I know, but compare it to the average Luke Bryan, FGL, Blake Shelton, or Jason Aldean song and it fits right.
I know. I myself don’t consider half the “Country” songs to be real country, modern country has lost so much of it’s roots and flavour. I wasn’t saying i would really call that song country but it just fits in with whats known as country now days.
It’s a sign that was on the back of a bathroom door at the best burger place I’ve ever been to. (Which surprisingly is in south Africa)
If you want a more detailed description, it is advertising a ban on passing gas, via simple imagery that should be accessible to even the lowest of minds.
Well apologies to everyone had never heard of Suzy Boguss. What a find thank You!
Can carry a song very good sound!
The only way I can carry a song is in a bucket!
It just seems wrong to have missed this performer!
Underhill Rose: “Who Brought The Sun” - YouTube
My nearest venue is a modest size called the Stables in Milton Keynes 2 Stages one about 250-300 the other 50-100 depending on how many chairs can be rammed in. They have Americana acts in the smaller room but generally British Performers with Stetsons and Denim Shirts on , cowboy boots and if you are really lucky Chaps . “No Bison in Buckinghamshire”
But we did have Underhill Rose in the UK a few times. Sadly played to very small crowds but did buy all their albums
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Now I’ll ask the real question : Why on earth do you want that as your profile picture?
Exactly what i was thinking. I guess that’s a reminder he needs all the time or something.
Couple reasons: I have mostly brothers, so we all found it amusing, also I have a keen sense of smell so it’s pertinent, also as a reminder to y’all to make sure your opinion doesn’t stink
At least he dropped the insane poetry
