I’ve been able to strum chords at a jam on guitar, but it sure would be nice to know a break or two! I’ve been working on some flatpicking the past few weeks. Here is my attempt at @banjoben’s arrangement of Gold Rush. I still can’t get through it without mistakes, but I am getting better. I think going forward, I need to slow down and try to play cleaner and more relaxed. I noticed I started this one off at one speed and then almost immediately sped up! I also keep holding my breath when I know a “crux” section is coming up, so hopefully I will stop doing that at some point! Any advice you guys have is welcome!

@Shad, that looked awesome! Your pickstrokes stay alternate almost everywhere and you maintain a steady rhythm, really nice job. Nothing should stop you from gaining lots of speed on that arrangment.

Finally getting a chance to write a reply…
Really enjoyed that gold rush! I’ve no advice (for I’m not a guitar player) other than to keep on going with it, and keep adding songs as you are able to! Try for clean 1st and speed 2nd (and that applies to me as I’m definitely guilty of messing that up, even on a good day, lol!) Oh yeah, keep grinnin too
