Sounding great! Thanks for posting! Don’t be shy now… we’d love to see more! Oh, and love the pup chilling out on the couch!
Don’t worry about Banjo Face, I’m here to tell ya there’s definitely Mando Face as well… :confounded::grimacing: (the husband FREQUENTLY asks me whats wrong with me when I play, haha!) Usually rears it’s odd face during breaks but not backup. Good thing we play backup 95% of the time !

It’s also not easy for me to post something that isn’t good enough… But here is my entry with my idea for folsom prison blues. I learn the second part by ear. it is clear to me that this does not correspond to the original, it just serves to get me further in my banjo playing if I can learn something myself without a lesson… the whole thing is just an idea, but not finished yet… :sunglasses::+1::banjo:

Absolutely loved your version! The whole thing sounded very good! Great job figuring parts out on your own by ear :+1:!

It definitely does!

And the faces? AWESOME, haha!:upside_down_face: Thanks for posting. We’d love to see another one if you get the chance!

Truth in advertising statement:
This is for fun, “practice.”

It could be something new your trying to work out, or just noodling around with an idea or three, a routine you do in your practice sessions, etc. It doesn’t matter if you’re reading straight off tab, have it memorized, or are playing along with the song you’re trying to learn. Maybe you’re trying to get more comfortable recording yourself or playing for others to watch, or trying to sing and play…
Anything goes.

Don’t be too tough on yourself about putting up something that’s not perfect, or “good enuff.” We’re all playing on different levels, but we’ve all been thru, and are currently on the job of working stuff out - on every level.

Just thought I’d mention that in case anyone had cold feet  !

Ok, so who’s gonna be next???
And a big Thanx to the 4 brave souls who shared videos ! :slightly_smiling_face::purple_heart:

Hi, if someone could help me out. I’m trying to do the sixth interval backup over this song but I don’t like how it sounds (I did mess up a bit but Im talking more about how it sounds on general). I was doing triplets and I’ve been working on them this week with a metronome and on songs but it just sounds off to me. Any comments are appreciated. https://youtu.be/SXMa2oCJcAY
