@Timothy_L That story reminds me of the parking lot sceen in Fried Green Tomatoes.

I don’t know why they are waiting outside? It’s obvious, the house is a rocking, so don’t bother knocking.

@Mark_Rocka I hope you didn’t buy that guitar. I think I see a big crack.

My last comment might have been a little too cheeky.

You may be right. I think it’s time to leave this behind.

@Mark_Rocka I’ll bet that poor ole’ guitar has been the butt of many jokes…

This guitar is the same model as the guitar my first teacher, Mr. Howenwald, used to play. We could never spell or pronounce his name, so we just called him Mr. H.

He made his students keep such a rigorous practice schedule, and swore that to “be prepared” was the best key to success. I think he was a Boy Scout or something.

Unfortunately, my personal guitar was in the repair shop at the time of my final recital. Mr. H was kind enough to let me borrow his guitar. Not only that! When I opened the guitar case backstage before going on, he had written me a motivational note. I still have a photo of it.

And then Ben got me. Is it possible to get even more gullible with age? Good grief I hope not!
