The humor thread (formerly Sunday funny)

I can’t help watching this again and again… The card trick was amazing but the French man was incredibly funny and fooled Penn and Teller. Every bit is enjoyable!

@JohnM I enjoy watching this show. After the pandemic I haven’t watched as much, it doesn’t feel the same “virtual” fooling atempts done by magicians over video.

I have no idea how that trick was done. None. There were a couple video edits where things were missing, but I know they edit it for dead space and such.

@Stuart.Gamble, yeah nothing like doing it at a close distance, that too in front of experts, pulling it off! “virtual” is no fun. I believe I watched this show long ago, but not anywhere close to remember, but then I bumped into it in youtube and watched quite a few this month.

Mike, even with changing angle there is possibility for continuity but they must have edited it that it looks an impossible trick. He seems to read the deck like a blind man with his hand just before Teller insert his selection. Also even if he had swapped the deck for an all 2-spade deck, when Penn revealed the selection, he looked through the other 2 cards to have called off the bluff. With all the comments, the French guy was so confident and managed it at a close distance, unbelievable!

Today I realized that “Groundspeed” actually refers to other things than a banjo tune.

Maybe it’s not that funny, but I did feel kind of dumb :joy:

Thank you, Internet!

This is back from when the pandemic had just started but I just found this. We got to see Matthew West perform last night and a church here. He said, he has bunch of albums but now this is his most requested song. I thought it was funny.

Well, I don’t if I’m playing amazing grace at 60bpm six times in a row, because there’s not enough sustain to just play diamonds, and it’s way to busy to try walking…

Driving back from Kilgore, we stopped at a restaurant off of I20. As we walked in, I noticed some meat hanging from the ceiling. I asked the hostess what that was about and she said that if you can jump up and touch the meat, your meals would be free. If you tried and didn’t, you had to buy a round for everyone who was in the bar area. I looked at the meat for a while. Finally, my wife asked if I was going to try. I said “No. The steaks are too high.”

I was trying to remember where I heard that joke. Hopefully, it isn’t right above in this thread

@Mike_R Nice Dad joke about the steaks. Thankfully you didn’t go with a sausage pun. Everyone knows sausage puns are the wurst!

Has anyone looked out on the Apparel section of the General Store and scrolled to the bottom of the listings? I used to love to look for “Easter Eggs” in software, I think this might qualify as a @BanjoBen Easter Egg. If scroll down to the bottom you will find this item, luckily they are sold out
