Opps that should read gallon. Back in the 1950’s it was 22 pence a gallon that included purchase tax. It’s always been cheaper in TEXAS that’s why y’all drive those big cars with horns @Mark_Rocka

upon digging through the collection down at the library I found an even earlier artifact.
This may prove bluegrass music started before the 1940s after all.
