I’ve had some techy problems to deal with - it’s been a while since I’ve recorded and couldn’t get the bass to come through. Guess I found the magic button by accident. So I have uploaded a track to keep things moving forward, will likely redo when there are some more instruments down and I have something to work against.
By the way Larry the dobro sounds great, my bassline doesn’t sound quite as monotonous on your solo.
Will get onto vocals now, couldn’t get any volume from the mike and just found a broken wire in the lead XLR for the phantom power. I’ll try to fix today and have another go at it.
Life more complicated as we had a power blackout down at the cave and the surge has blown something in the satellite gear for the internet. Hope they get someone out this coming week. As I do my recording stuff down there at the kiosk (for peace and quiet) that has been a real pain but I got onto a borrowed connection to upload the bass track.
Also don’t know if it is just me but I don’t find the new Kompoz setup as user friendly as before so still stumbling around a bit there.
Congrats on the land purchase Jesse, hope your renovations go smoothly, there is great satisfaction in building on your own place. I’ve been 23 years up in the bush now and still trying to keep the boss happy with the shack that just kept growing (though we did just start out in a tent, no power, no water etc). It was never intended as the house but kids came along and the cave business etc and no money to start a planned house and Topsy just grew to accommodate, so it is good you can work on it till you are ready to move in.
