Hi, does anyone know if there is a lesson relating to picking the rhythm with a flat pick? What I have been trying to figure out is something like used in this song by the Gospel Plowboys
Picking out the rhythm
Hey @peanut39350, check out these courses:
https://banjobenclark.com/courses/basic-guitar-rhythm
https://banjobenclark.com/courses/intermediate-guitar-rhythm
That song is played out of a D position, so if you’re looking to figure out that particular song, check out this lesson:

That guitar player is also using suspended chord shapes, so check out this lesson on suspensions:

Thanks @Michael_Mark the suspensions lesson is exactly what I’m looking for, I hear songs where the rhythm is picked (note for note) instead of strummed and I have been working on that; mine just doesn’t sound as elegant. I didn’t know if this style has a name or not so I wasn’t sure what lessons to look for.
You’re probably hearing what is known as crosspicking; here are a few lessons on that:

ugh. I flagged this topic by accident. Theres nothing offensive here I was just looking for options to save it and read later.
