Old TR photos

Here’s a couple of old photos of Tony (guitar) and Larry (mandolin) Rice I ran across. I thought they were pretty cool.

Wow!

Cool.

Even notice that most of the really good players started at such a young age?

I started playing at age 14, did not get serious about it until maybe age 30. So by my math I will need to live to be like 150 years old before I catch up with Rice, Sutton, Bush, etc…boy will my 149th birthday be fun.

There is not enough time in all the universe for me to play like Rice . if I lived to be 150 I still would be behind . it is what it is .

I wonder if the guitar in the lower picture is still around. I hope Tony still has it.

That guitar looks like it had seen some good use and that photo must have been taken some time around 1960. Can anybody ID it?
