Hey everyone,
I have a mac and am wanting to start using garage band to put some tracks together. In doing that I’d like to get a microphone that’s better than just using my computer or one of those for talking online. I’d like something that I can use to record an acoustic guitar, banjo and voice decently. I’m not looking for a pro setup, but something that will help everything sound a bit better and less noisy than using my built in computer mic.

I ended up with a Samson CO1U USB condenser mic. Great for string instruments and it hooks up directly to the computer via USB port. About $50 -$80 on Ebay
