79 years old and he had so many songs they are hard to count . he gave us a new country sound that was great he will be missed . He was very right “it’s a big job just gettin by .”
Merle Haggard gone
Just heard the news myself. Another true legend in country music that I grew up listening to is gone. So many great songs through the decades. RIP Merle.

1969 Mustang 8 track player and Haggard was about all I would play on the player . Wonder years as stereo just came into being, easy to get . He did a ton of Jimmy Rodgers songs . He sang actually about his life and growing up poor. Him and Buck Owens was my favs back then .
