Here’s a tune made famous by the Allman Brothers played on two guitars. Some years ago, I arranged it for one guitar in Open D tuning. It worked out okay.

Yep, Martin Retro MM12 (12-54). I may end up putting 13s on it as the scale length is short (24") and would give the guitar a little more oomph. I also think that since this guitar has a very midrangy tone, I might put Elixir 80/20 Nanoweb 13s on it to give it a little more ring and bass clarity.
