How low should I set my guitar?

How low should I set my guitar when using a guitar strap? Right now I have it set so that it’s about the same height as when I am sitting. Is that too high?

Generally, same height sitting and standing is exactly what you want! If you constantly feel that’s too high for you after a while, you can always lower it a little to taste. A warm welcome to the forum @aebloom316!
