Wow!!! Congrats y’all! What a reward for all the hard work!
Good Luck All
That mando player, Jonah Horton, is a good feller and friend of mine. He is so, so gifted, and makes the best tortoise shell picks I’ve played.
Great to hear yall had such good times! & Cool that @Dragonslayer was able to meet up with you guys!
Congrats to everyone for the placements as well as for just getting up there on the stage and picking your songs! Super nice that you were able to back each other’s performances up !
Thanks everyone for posting the vids too, sometimes it’s tuff to be recording when you’d rather be participating, or would rather not be looking at the event thru a lens/screen…
That’s my constant dilemma!!
Yes he was INCREDIBLE!! Such an amazing player!

Hey @Flatpickin_Libby, i was just watching this and laughed almost the whole time you were up there Where you nervous or was Gunnar doing wierd faces at you? It looked awesome to see you laughing more than anything up there
Probably not, I was probably off somewhere jamming with some bunch of old drunk dudes or other…
For what, the awards or my performance?
The awards.
I agree, it’s really goofy watching back. It always makes me laugh too. I honestly wasn’t expecting to get one of the ten places since there were over a hundred guitar players. Two of my siblings had already placed and they both got 10th, so I was definitely expecting 10th once I got on stage. I was so shocked every time they didn’t call my name I was just beside myself jumping up and down. All the other guys were so calm and casual, like they didn’t care a bit which ribbon they’d get. And here I am so giddy that I’m getting one of the higher places, I forgot to even clap for the others. It’s pretty silly!
Haha I got a kick out of it Looked pretty cool to see at least one person up there showing some emotion
