Gentle On My Mind

I attempted to tab out Russell Moore’s guitar break from IIIrd Tyme Out’s Cracker Barrel CD last night.

It’s similar to, but not exactly like, his break here:

Guitar break at 1:59

This is another good one Larry! I really appreciate you taking the time to share these with us.

Thanks Larry!

A big thanks from me also / I like the song .

Thanks Larry,

I usually don’t like bluegrass versions of other genres, but Russell did a great job on that whole cd.

I didn’t know he was that good of a lead guitar player. I assumed he was nearly all rythym. That’s some good playing.

I guess his voice is always going to be his calling card, but I got a good seat to see him play last month and I was also impressed with his guitar work. In addition to his tasteful leads he adds a fair amount of color to his chords, especially when he’s playing behind a break.

I worked up “My Window Faces The South” from the Cracker Barrel cd this week. Lots of fun swing chords and another nice break on that one, but I haven’t taken the time to tef it, yet.
