I’m having a hard time slowing down the TEF file for this song. I’m only having trouble with this one in TEF. So, if I highlight a section I can slow it down, but only once, as soon as it repeats, it goes right back to the 260 bpm speed. Also, I can’t just change the speed on the whole song and let it play at that speed, it always goes back to the regular speed. I think It may have something to do with it being at 2 different tempos on the TEF. It starts at 100 bpm, but then switches after the intro. Anyone know how to fix/work around this?

Hi @ambergkeith Keith. If you are using TEFView click on MIDI. Click on Relative Speed. Set the speed you want. Click on Loop if you want it to repeat. You can also set the START and END Measures

Yes, but that won’t work in this particular TEF. If you run the loop more than once, it reverts back to “normal” speed. Try it.

Hi Keith It’s working fine on my MacBook. Have you check-marked the Increase Speed % box?

I don’t use TEFView much or indeed my MacBook. I work mostly with TablEdit on a PC .

@Michael_Mark @Mark_Rocka can you check this out.

I don’t see a “Increase Speed box”. And you’re using it with this song? It works fine on other songs for me, just not this one,

YES I am using it with this song.

If you are using TEFView and you have followed my instructions i.e. click on MIDI . Click on Relative Speed. Set the speed you want. The LITTLE CHECK BOX is right there in the centre.

Click on Loop if you want it to repeat. You can also set the START and END Measures

You might care to download the TEF file again. You might have a corrupt file.

OK, thanks. I think I got it figured out. On mine, I have to click “Play” then “relative speed”. I don’t have a midi option. So I kept clicking the little speaker symbol.
