Beta testers needed / Play with my app! It's fun!

This has been so fun, jamming on Angeline the Baker for the last bit…haven’t done that in a while.

That’s so cool.

I don’t think I mentioned… if you pick a song from one of the 3 lists, the song is dialed in exactly to one of the lessons on the site. There may be some variation on a few because there are a few songs that have multiple lessons, but in general, it should already be the right key, time, and BPM.

This is AWESOME! I’ll be using it everyday, thank you!

Please do! Let me know if you think of any ways to improve it.

Refresh your browsers and you should now see 804 songs. I just finished with songs beginning with the letter O. Time to shut it down for the night.

Bummer… I was going to play Possum in the Strawstack tonight.

Just kidding.

And I made up that song title.

It sure sounds like a bluegrass song title!

Some of these titles I run across crack me up. Ever hear the joke about how native Americans get their names? I feel like that’s how it is with bluegrass songs, too.

Looks really well done, great job!! I’ll keep playing around with it and let you know if I come across anything, although it looks really good!

Here’s my feedback…if you made it a subscription app, I’d drop strum machine.

That’s huge! What a compliment!

I’m doing everything I can to make it a better experience. The input from you folks here is invaluable.

I tried adding a link to youtube on Are You Missing Me… Are the notes and links just for my own copy and then I will need to click the save button for this to stick?

When you post a youtube link in this forum in a message, it pulls in the video title after a few seconds. That would take more coding or a library but is that possible? The resource without a description is an ugly url and very cryptic.

Do you envision a way this could replace TEF files?

This has been a day of User Interface refining. I’m very pleased with what we have now. The Footer went from this:

It’s an especially big deal on mobile screens where real estate is at a premium.

Also created a really nice button reference chart, too.

This is great stuff, Greg! I haven’t even begun to play around with those features below the charts yet. Your request should be working now for YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, and Bandcamp. Just note that you will only see saved Notes, Lyrics, and Resources on the same device and browser you saved them from. They’re currently only stored locally for users.

Eventually the plan is to have them saved in a database in the user’s account.

You wanna see something funny? We just finished up a brand new Help screen that is now live. There’s a line at the bottom of the help screen. I didn’t ask for it.

Shouldn’t Blue Ridge Cabin Home be the first song on the list?

LOL! I’ll work on that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Is there a way to loop a section? If its here I can figure it out.

Yup. Click the Select button:

Then click the first and last tiles you want in the range:

Then 2 new buttons will appear. Choose the Loop Range button:

Introducing Jam Mode! image

Jam Mode is for when you’re taking the app to a jam for chord charts. Turning on Jam Mode changes to high contrast, makes chord names bigger, removes all of the stuff you don’t need to just read a chart, and keeps the device screen on until you turn off Jam Mode. Check it out in the top right corner of the Settings Sidebar.

Jam Mode also brought about the implementation of allowing the Song Title Bar to double as a search bar. Now no more going back to the Song Library to load up a new song!
