Be Thou My Vision Tabs

This might be a dumb question, but are the tabs for the above song in the key of G? similar to the Banjo Tabs?

The mando tab for Be Thou My Vision appears to be in the key of D.

Thanks! I wonder why it’s different than the banjo tabs which are in G… hum…

I’m not sure banjo players worry about things like key, do they? I’m pretty sure as long as it’s loud, it sounds right to a banjo player. :laughing:

I’m not a banjo player, but can you capo up to D? I think D is the key it’s normally played in.

Brain fart… I think it’s in D as well. I was trying to talk a mandolin player to learn it so we could practice together! :astonished:)

OK, all that work and…

…the payoff is getting to perform for others! Very nicely done, Paul.

Thanks Larry! We had a lot of fun with it

Is there a lesson and tabs on Be Thou My Vision?

It would appear not. :cry::sob:

Hi Paul, I see Casey Henry has a very basic version of this hymn on her YouTube Channel. For the most part it is just quarter notes. It’s a real slow version and you could probability pick it up just listening and watching her play.

Which instrument?
