Bag O (foot) Licks for Mandolin
These little licks are great… you can build a nice little vocabulary with them. I don’t get to play much mando, but with just an hour or so of playing with them, these licks are proving very helpful to me. The fact that they are usable in various keys is helping me better see the scales of various keys. For example, start G lick #1 on the D string… D-Lick! Start on the A string… A-Lick! They are also a great framework for putting your own “thang” into the licks and coming up with new licks.
