Glad to hear it!
Anybody down for another young picker collaboration?
If it’s up to me I’m gonna do my best to see that one banjo Ben Clark.com student collaboration gets finished.
It’ll be great to finally hear you play man!
I just use an actual daw, its way simpler.
Just get the tracks in the folder and we’ll be golden. @Shaky_loves_banjo @Michael_Mark @Flatpickin_Libby @Dragonslayer I would like to suggest a band name, since I’m pretty sure we’re all homeschooled we should be “The Homeschooled Hooligans”.
Oh boy
Ok bud, Who are you to suggest i’m homeschooled? I just finished college
ok ok, just kidding. In reality i should be just finishing grade 12 this year… but i quit halfway through last year. Since i’m planning to be country boy not a scientist my Dad didn’t think it was needful that i finish all my school. And in canada here, you don’t have to finish you school, yhou just have to be ‘in a continuing place of education’. So right now, i’m technicaly in a co-op at work but am getting payed for it. I just consider my workplace a continued place of education. Besides, i do learn something new there every day.
You know, It seems a lot of people have asked to here me play but i just haven’t gotten around to making a youtube account. And i don’t have my own phone so I have kinda shied away from using my mom’s phone but maybe i will eventually do it.
Yeah, you’re definitely homeschooled
Definitely homeschooled
Hey guys, I’m having some troubles recording this thing. No, this time it’s not that I can’t play it well enough or I get recording nerves or anything like that. Rather, I cannot get the mic to pick up decent audio. If I use the built in mic, the banjo sounds soft and like it’s underwater or something. If I use the cheap external mic that I have, the audio levels spike like crazy and the banjo sounds like the most piercing instrument ever. I’ve played around with compression and stuff like that… any ideas? @mharrison43 @oaklymaple @Timothy_L @Flatpickin_Libby
Can you adjust the gain on your external mic?
I don’t think so. Oh well, I’ll probably just wait till later tonight and see if I can use the mic my dad uses for work. Hopefully this is a mic and not a device issue.
If it’s pretty cheap, it’s probably a mic issue
Is your room dampened? If not try hanging some blankets on the walls
I haven’t recorded my part yet but I plan to use my external Zoom mic. It always sounds great. I’m going to try to do it this week.
I would add some distance if you can’t adjust the gain that about all i can suggest. Also y’all don’t have to do any editing I’ll take care of it. Just get me the raw audio files.
