Anybody down for another young picker collaboration?

Yeah and we could give him that last banjo solo too if he wants.

Actually, we could put a banjo solo right after @Flatpickin_Libby‘s guitar solo. Like one of those strong Jim Mills thumb rakes into the banjo solo.

Yeah still have the double solo before a cappella.

Here’s the lyrics by the way

Chorus
Hallelujah (I’m ready) I’m ready (Hallelujah)
I can hear the voices singing soft and low
Hallelujah (I’m ready) I’m ready (Hallelujah)
Hallelujah I’m ready to go

Verse 1
In the darkness of night not a star was in sight
On the highway that leads down below
But Jesus came in and saved my soul from sin
Hallelujah I’m ready to go

Verse 2
Now sinner don’t wait before it’s too late
He’s a wonderful Savior you know
Well I fell on my knees and he answered my pleas
Hallelujah I’m ready to go

I can’t always tell what people mean when they list a bpm number. As I’m used to, this one taps out at 150.

150 BPM for the RSKT version is right… For the record I always mean cut time when I list BPM. I think Ben doubles the BPM number usually. For example, Ben’s fastest track on Shenandoah Breakdown is 150, but I think he lists it as 300.

Same its rather confusing. I normally go quarter notes 4/4 on my metronome or eighth notes in 2/2.

Is that supposed to make me Cody Kilby?

Cut time is putting half notes on the metronome for 4/4 time. That’s how it’s usually counted

I know I was just saying how i normal do it.

I could do a solo and sing lead but i don’t have any good recording abilitys so i don’t know how singing would go. Instruments seem to be easier to get good sound than voice. I will try to play around with some stuff today and over the weekend and see what i can do. I would also need a rythym track to play along with and esspecially if i would try singing. Also, would we just post an MP3 track here of our recording or how would you like that?

Ok I’m going to record a scratch track with a whole solo at the end and at 140(cut time since apparently i do my metronome weird😂)

I thought we were doing 170-180 cut time? Skaggs version is about 150

Why don’t we try somewhere from 160-170; that’ll be nice and fast but not too terribly insane?
