Another rookie question

As a general rule, how often should you change your strings? Thanks

It depends on how toxic your finger oils are, how much you play, and what kind of strings.

If they’re like standard D’addarios, I would have to change those probably every week or so because I have the most string-killing fingers. But my Elixer Nanowebs will last me maybe 2 months or so before they really go out.

But I try to play every day, so it may be different for you if you play less and not as aggressively with a bunch of sloppy licks across the fingerboard like I do.

I would say depends a lot on the instrument and how much you play. I’d agree with once a week if you play them a good bit.
