As a Beginner, my Expert opinion is: Great audio mix! Very clean & sharp. It does your playing justice.

As usual, I’m a tad bit disappointed there isn’t more :banjo: Timothy!

Can’t get him to sing. It’s too much of me in the video I know :confounded:. On the whole album there’s tons of his phenomenal banjo playing!! When we were in the studio he shocked me the way he was playing - seriously. You’ll love it!

Sounds super tight! Love the banjo/mando line at 1:06.

Is that a K&K system inside your guitar?

Thanks!! We had a lot of fun arranging it with the double solos. Yes! I just got the K&K Trinity installed about a week ago - it’s brand new. I’m trying to figure it out

Nice. Are you going to use that live with a mic as well?

Yes - I already have. I tried it twice at two different venues last weekend.

I like it a lot, but for that show videoed above (my first time trying it) I think I had too much of the pickup and not enough mic, because I thought the sound was a little thin. It’s a blended mic and under-saddle pickup and the mic definitely gives the better tone. I’m happy that it gets a lot louder than what I was using before (DPA 4099 clip-on condenser) without so much feedback, so I’m going to keep playing around with the levels till I hear the tone I want. It’s the same one someone else uses… not Tony rice, you can guess…

I actually didn’t use it to record in the studio though. We’re just lip syncing to the track in that video.

What is a K&K anyway?

Libby dosen’t pay attention to Tony Rice clones…

My goal is to use it as a stand-alone. That’s why I bought the Trinity cause it has a mic as well as a pickup.

I think Jake uses the K&K along with a dual condenser mic setup.
