You Can't Cure Stupid

Yesterday I did a bunch of work around the old home place, including getting rid of some brush & yanking out Japanese knotweed (very invasive.)

This morning I discovered my carpal tunnel wrist is killing me, so on goes the wrist brace.

Later, while practicing my banjo, I was terrible. I just could not get my left hand fingering right, all the time muting strings and generally being sloppy. I couldn’t understand it and I was getting rather annoyed. After about 20 minutes of struggle, I finally realized it wasn’t my left hand that was causing the problem.
It was the wrist brace on my right hand that was muting the strings!
Doh !:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

One of these days I will have a T-shirt made that says “Stoopid R Us.”

I guess I’ll be smart & rest the wrist for a day or two before muting my banjo again.

Best thing to do is rest your wrist. Ice it up, and let it heal.

I have nothing more to say on the subject.
