"You Break It, You Fix It!"

I know Ben has some excellent videos here on the topic, like those with Steve Huber.
Here’s another guy who knows a thing or two about banjos explaining banjo set-up to a person who doesn’t understand a word of it.

I gotta admit, this one goes deep into the weeds and therefore is right up my alley!

OK, I just finished watching the whole thing. One highlight is towards the end as he talks about how Snuffy Smith revolutionized bridges, but the whole thing is well worth your time.

Excellent video for sure. He makes it look very easy and not a bit intimidating.
Great instructional/informational video for a beginner.
However, my suggestion would be to have someone knowledgeable in banjo setup
do it unless you own a lower end, manufactured out-of-country, lower priced, banjo
and are not worried about experimenting. :relieved:

I know what you’re saying. The fear factor of fooling around with coordinator rods & cranking down head tension is enough to give one the heebie jeebies!
But the point of the video was the same point made by Jesus: “Fear not.”
It is real easy to get a banjo out of tune. It’s pretty easy to get it right. It’s pretty hard to do any serious damage.*

*serious damage by accident. Serious damage by stupidity is another matter.

I wonder who did the setups in the time of Jesus ???

Probably someone who played the lyre and had no fear.
