Learning to solo in Bluegrass is the most humbling thing I have ever chased after. after yesterday I am more convinced than ever that if I can master THAT I can do anything. I know theory, I know the neck of my guitar, but putting it together to solo over a bluegrass tune is my personal Mt Everest. Day two… here I come!

Brother, I share the feeling! My brain has absorbed so much that I think I know how to play the banjo…until I pick one up.
It’s amazing how much of that incredible knowledge just doesn’t seem to make it to the fingertips!

It’s such a fun thing to do and learn! It’s definitely not the gateway to everything though 
I wish I could solo over jazz progressions or play fingerstyle. I’m very limited even though I can solo easily over bluegrass tunes.
