It has been said by others that it takes some 10,000 hrs of practice to become reasonably proficient on your instrument of choice. Think how many hours slip by playing Wordie that could be spent practicing. Just saying.

Wordle only takes a couple minutes out of your day and you can only play it once a day. It really can’t interfere with instrument practice, just saying…

Good thought, though the minutes don’t make exactly the same difference when spent over a long period of time– today’s Wordle took me less than a minute, some take me 5 minutes, and combined over 30 days that might be 2 1/2 hours. But in reality, it’s 5 minutes a day, and if you’re already practicing your instrument, spending 40 vs 45 minutes wouldn’t make much of a difference- it’s the quality and frequency of practice over long periods that counts. 2 1/2 extra cumulative hours over the course of a month practicing an instrument wouldn’t make the same difference as 2 1/2 extra hours spent in a day.

It’s a warmup for my brain each morning. I don’t think my spouse would appreciate me taking the 3 minutes each morning to practice my banjo rolls or mandolin chop. It is 4:21am here, that wouldn’t go over well.
