$35-40 K just for the engine, lots of sheet metal work. Looks like a bonanza for the repair shop (forgive the pun). I flew a Mooney and never had a gear-up landing, never will, 'cause I stopped flying when I hit 70, but I miss it. The insurers just don’t like older pilots, regardless of their record, and it got to be too pricey for the limited hours that I was flying. Much better to put those dollars into buying guitars, and the time into playing them.
