I came across this Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert video and couldn’t believe who was singing it. Never had a clue that he was with PPL.

Marty Stuart is opening a Country Music Museum in his hometown of Philadelphia, MS. For part of the grand opening he is going to have some old friend do concerts. I got a couple of tickets to see that guy singing Amie in your video on December 10 in a small theater. i can’t wait.

I heard an interview with “that guy” a while back and he said he started out as a banjo player. Apparently he couldn’t make a living with the banjo, so he switched to guitar and singing.

What’s amazing to me is that the audio mix on that show makes one of the best voices out there sound pretty pedestrian. I wish someone would have spent a few seconds tweaking with an EQ and reverb.

Pretty sure if you’re of a certain age you knew LOL. Although I was late to the party finding out he was part of the Eagles as well. Nice find on the video!
