I do! (But I have no use for Academy Awards. I think it’s a shameful display of the “we love us” mentality.)
But I love the movies and I love a good story.
In another thread, Akira Kurosawa came up. As you probably know, his film “The Seven Samuri” was re-made into “The Magnificent Seven” and his movie “Yojimbo” was parroted by Sergio Leone and made into “A Fistful of Dollars,” which made Clint Eastwood a star.
Well here’s a remarkable blending! It’s called “A Fistful of Yojimbo.” If you know & love the Eastwood movie, you’ll find this interesting!
Who Loves Movies? Westerns?
In my youth I was a big fan of westerns. But for some reason I now find them boring.
BTW the video doesn’t work for me
As in “It will not play” or “It fails to stimulate?”
As far as boring Westerns, most of them are, like any genre that keeps repeating the same formula over & over again. Like I said, I love a good story. They do not always begin with “I’m lookin’ for the man that shot my Pa.”
Will not play on my MacBook
How odd. It’s just another YouTube link as far as I know.
The Great Train Robbery
Red River
The Searchers
I recently watched these movies on TV when was streaming TeaTV https://www.firestickhow.com/teatv-on-firestick.html. It was such nostalgia. I actually plan to spend the weekend at home watching movies and eating popcorn. Any good recommendations?
