When It's Broke, Fix It!

Over a year ago I purchased a Cooperstand Pro-B from the General Store, and I love it!

However, it gets a lot of use and the rubber coating that covers the pegs & protects the banjo has started to wear out, exposing the bare metal. Not what I want in contact with my Sierra! There is NO defect in the product, simply wear & tear from extensive use.
I dropped a note to the manufacturer today & got a prompt reply. I was given a choice. I could either:
a) Send them $10 and they would send me new rubber bumpers, or…
b) Go to the auto parts store and get packet of assorted Dorman - Auto Grade Black Rubber Vacuum Caps for $4.50. They also said this is probably a better option as the rubber is a bit more heavy duty than the originals.

I felt like Macy’s just sent me to Gimble’s! I hurried to the auto parts store, got my goodies and fixed my Cooperstand as good a new within 5 minutes.

I got the 8-pc assortment because I had no idea what size I needed.

Don’t you just love an easy fix to a puzzling problem?

Thanks Joseph! I have a few of the cooperstands (guitar type) and that will likely be helpful info at some point. I used one last night as I was playing and needed to have a mando and a guitar for different songs.

What’s even cooler than the fact that you found a solution, is that the original manufacturer sent you elsewhere to get the better solution. That’s the kind of customer service that would keep me coming back. Most excellent!
