To be honest I haven’t had much time of late to listen to any albums. Been busy doing chores around the house. Working on some new tunes and doing some TV catch-up

If y’all haven’t heard Andy Leftwich’s Ride yet, you should definitely go listen to it. I’d say it’s somewhat similar to Jake Workman’s Landmark, but more fiddle/mandolin driven vs guitar. Also, Travis Alltop and Friends’ I’m Goin’ That Way is an incredible gospel album, probably my favorite. To me, it’s a perfect example of what good bluegrass band dynamics sound like.

@JonathanFell Strawberry is sweeter, and the seeds don’t seem to get stuck between your teeth like raspberry seeds do.

True, true. But for some reason I’ve always liked raspberry. It just suits my taste buds best :yum: but if we are talking homemade, I think I like strawberry better.

Well this is a fun thread to revive!

I don’t have any new listening recently (suggestions?), but these are some of my top albums/songs from the past year:

Anything by Keith Green, but especially For Him Who Has Ears to Hear
Rich Mullins - Songs
The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds, The Smile Sessions
Joshua Lee Turner - Public Life
Tom Petty - Full Moon Fever
Julian Lage and Chris Eldridge - “Old Grimes”
Julian Lage - “Gardens”, “Peru”, “Day and Age” (I started to learn some of these, with, er… debatable success)
Nickel Creek - “Destination”, “21st of May”
The Ellis Family - “Go Ask the Blood”
Yes - “Roundabout”
Toto - “Africa”

(As well as anything by Tony Rice, James Taylor, New Grass Revival, and Pat Metheny Group which are some of my go-tos but weren’t new enough to make the list.)

You seem to like family bands. My favorites are The Lindsey Family, The Cockman Family, and The Waddington Brothers. (Waddington Brothers aren’t on streaming but they have a CD you can buy)

:+1: I’ll look those up. Thanks for the suggestions!

That’s fun, I’m friends/acquaintances with all three.

Recently I’ve been listening mostly to Gordon Lightfoot. I recently got into his “song for a winter’s night” and “brave mountaineers”, both pretty much instant favorites.
