Been playing three years as self taught. No doubt I need a lot of help with fundamentals.
What does the Gold Pick membership look like in regards of how it steps the student through the fundamentals and tracking progress and not moving on until the skill has been mastered?
Also, I need discipline in practice and goals.
I am so ready to move beyond my very limited current skills.

Thank you Archie! I’m excited to get on board. After three years of self teaching I’m stuck and very bored with my playing.
One would not think that in the Bluegrass state there would be a problem finding a banjo teacher in the central region but it appears to be so.
It’s time to do something different and after a couple of years of creeping Banjo Ben, is time to commit.

Michael, thank you so much for those replies. This helps a lot. It is what I was imagining but now I’m confident in how it’s going to go.
Lord willing, I am definitely going to join Gold Pick this weekend.
I really appreciate the emphasis on hymns and bluegrass gospel songs. That’s what I primarily play and want to learn.
I appreciate the family of pickers within this site.

Welcome to the forum, @dflannery! It’s great to have you here! @Michael_Mark has given a great overview of the site. I have learned about as much from the folks on the forum as I have from the regular lessons. Whether or not you become a Gold Pick member, absolutely utilize the forum!
