What are y'all up to?
My wife and I are traveling by car to Boulder City NV to me meet up with our daughter in law who has been white water rafting the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon for the past 5 weeks. Our son is flying out and will meet us on Thursday. Yesterday we drove through Missouri so we stopped at Banjo Ben’s General Store. We brought our grandson with us for the trip. Will be in Gallup NM tonight.

Hey Ben, You have a great little store that packs a lot of great instruments and other musical items. I was looking to purchase a great A-style mandolin and Jake set me up with a very beautiful Kentucky KM-505, I’m having it shipped to my home for when I get back from this trip. I look forward to playing it extensively.

I was going to hit up the store on my way to a Razorback game over the weekend but the travel timing didn’t work out. Look forward to checking it out in the upcoming months. Live about 2.5 hours from it.

Had a great trip to south Texas last weekend with my Ellie Mae. We were gifted a deer hunt by a “dear” friend. Ellie Mae loves eating deer more than anybody I know, so she was excited to do some grocery shopping on the oldest ranch in Texas, established in 1791. She was also able to harvest a javelina, which looks like a pig but it’s not a swine.

Ellie wanted to, our native guide said: NOPE. There’s a reason they call them a musk hog. They are considered a varmint down there. Mean looking teeth, we’re getting a mount made.
