Thanks! I’m not sure yet. Will update once I know. We should have a single coming out really soon though. He’s already got the first few mixes almost done!

Last night we caught The Steeldrivers at a local BBQ joint. It was a great show. They had the band Troubadour Blue open for them. We got to talk with Troubadour Blue’s guitar player for a bit after the show and also spoke with The Steeldrivers mandolin player.

My family and I made a quick trip down to Collinsville, Oklahoma, for Dad to fill the pulpit for my uncle who just had surgery. We were able to spend Saturday and Sunday with our uncle/aunt/cousins and some friends from years ago. It was a great weekend!

And, on the drive south, we stopped by and saw the cabin where “Home on the Range” was written. It was really cool, especially considering that I just recently did the banjo lesson for that song!

Well, I’m still hanging around and playing some. Our second daughter was born about a month ago, she and mama are both healthy, praise God! And about 6 months ago I started a small engine repair business and started to phase out of my day job. I’m now mostly teaching music and doing small engine repair for work, which has freed up some more time for me to practice.
Anyway, that’s what I’m up to. One of these days I’m hoping to get into building instruments…

You should! I wanted to get into instrument building about a year ago. I ended up with almost everything I need to build a guitar from one of the head luthiers at Bourgeois. Between being gone so much and having a few setbacks I haven’t done much with it in a while but I am planning on getting back into it in the next few weeks. A friend about 45 minutes away has built several guitars and he’s gonna help me get started again when he has the time.

That’s really cool! I’ve wanted to build a guitar for a while… I have some wood, but almost none of the tools.

Wow, congrats on the new addition to the family @Dragonslayer! Glad to hear the good news all around :grinning:

Congrats, @Dragonslayer! Daughters are great, but they will age you quickly. We raised three daughters while my brother and his wife raised two sons. He was two years older, but I turned gray way before he did. :grinning:

Thank y’all for your patience as I’ve been catching up the last few days! We had an awesome weekend up in AR/MO, first at an AKUS concert, then I judged the Youth in Bluegrass banjo competition in Branson…wow, what great talent!

Well, my wife and I travel and play full-time (not bluegrass, I started in bluegrass when I was ten and I’m trying to get back to where I was when I was too cool for it at 15). We got back on Thursday from our yearly western tour, five weeks on the road. We are exhausted, but encouraged. My eldest son, played at a jam last night (Authentic Coffee in White House, TN). It was too cool to see him jump right in. This was his first. I think I’ll bring a guitar or mandolin with us next week. Now, I’m just trying to catch up with administrative work, work I do for a missions organization, and school. Probably in that order. Lol! Cheers to y’all.

Thank you for all your prayers and those that contributed financially.
Update on our trip to Guatemala!
Our team and two other teams together impacted 648 Guatemalan people. 81 filters were distributed, which provide 200 gallons of clean water per day and the filter will last up to 10 years when back flushed every day. The filter is provided for free. The second free gift we provide is the Gospel. God created us and wants to have a relationship with us. But we rebelled and wanted to live life our way. The Bible says the penalty for sin is death. Not just physical death but separation from God. Because we are not able to cleanse ourselves of our own sin, we need rescued. But God still wants to have a relationship with us. God loves the sinner but hates the sin. God chose from the beginning of time to save us from ourselves. God sent his Son Jesus to be fully man and at the same time to be fully God. Jesus lived as a man in this world without sin. Jesus was crucified, died and was buried as the perfect sacrifice for the price of sin. Jesus rose from the dead to conquer sin and death so that whoever calls on him and believes will have eternal life. Read John 3:16-17

I just dominated the world in the game Risk. (Who here has ever played Risk?) One guy was completely defeated, and the other two ended up surrendering to me. That still counts though! :+1:t2:
