So, I had a lag screw pulling out of my OB-3 neck. watching a bunch of videos on how to fix it, talking to jake about it, on and on. End up snapping some pics of it to send off, and while doing so… the banjo falls over and cracks the neck at the headstock. So, I get on youtube and start looking at videos on how to fix it, as well as the lag screw. I see a bunch of videos. So the next day i’m like, I can’t do this, lol. So I get on google and look up Luthiers near me, lol. I see this guy at acousticbox.com. I’m like this name looks familiar. Get back on my videos and see that the this guy at acousticbox.com, is the same guy i have been watching videos of. Richie Dotson. I’m like WOW! this guy lives like 4 miles from me. So I call him up. Let me just say, what a great guy!!! He was REALLY knowledgeable, helpful, and just a pleasure to speak with. So I ask around, kind of a vetting process I do and hear nothing but GREAT things about this guy. Even Jake had great things to say, and that went a long way. So, I’m dropping my girlfriend off to stay with him a few days until he gets her back into shape. I can’t wait to actually meet him on Friday, (and possibly get a new hangout spot, if he doesn’t run me off). Anyway, thanks for all your work and info Jake. You guys are amazing, as is usual.
So thanks to everyone at @banjoben for being there!!
Daniel
