Weird question. My cousin is going to be getting married in a few months and we will be playing the songs. She wants to make sure everything is being done legally so she doesn’t have any copyright issues on the video of her wedding. I was wondering if anyone on here knew how to go about doing that. Is it just a regular Copyright license?

It’s best to ask a music minister at a larger church as they’re more familiar with the laws, but it’s quite possible the venue’s licensing could cover you. It also depends on what she plans to do with the video. If she publishes it to YouTube, they will scan the video for copyrighted material and run ads to pay the songwriters. She just won’t be able to personally monetize the video, which I can’t imagine many thousands of views on this video…unless your cousin is some European royalty?
