Video freezing

Having trouble with the lessons videos freezing up and also noticed that the lessons I did watching each part it no longer shows that I did any of it, what could be causing this.

Which Videos and what device are you using to access the lessons @Bowtie_Man Harley?

Any one that I start it will start playing and after 30 seconds or more it will freeze for a few seconds and start back up playing a few seconds and freeze again I been playing them on a IPhone 14 been playing on it every sense I joined as a gold pick member and never has it ever done this, nine pound hammer, old Joe Clark, Greensleeves, Cherokee Shuffle, Salt Creek, Descending Patterns, Banjo Backup Descending Pentatonic Licks, Worried Man Blues this is a few of them.

Hi Harley

I just checked those lessons on my PC Windows 11 with a high speed broadband connection and they all worked just fine.

I suspect the video freezing is down to poor internet coverage/ WIFI in your area. Do you have access to a PC or Mac Book ? Maybe try accessing YouTube videos on your iPhone see what results you get.

@BanjoBen @Michael_Mark @Mark_Rocka anyone else reporting problems?

Okay I see what I can find out about my WIFI and see if that’s my problem it all works on my laptop the TEFview and media player just fine with no freezing guess I may have to go that route thanks Archie for your help, Hope you have a great weekend :banjo:.

Usually when you get video drag it’s down to poor internet/WIFI but can also be memory and video cards. I have never tried using a phone to access the internet but I have heard others saying they use it.

Definitely sounds like a bandwidth issue. See if you can watch a high res video on YouTube. If you get the same problem, you’ll know it’s either your local (wifi) network or your ISP. If you don’t have that problem, we’ll need to dig deeper.

I have the same problem on my PC, I think I read somewhere on here it is because of the HD video, I just click the settings wheel and turn down the graphics to 540 or 720
