Anyone else struggle with the upstrum? I just can’t make it sound right consistently. Sometimes it hit it just right, but a lot of times I hit one of the strings too hard, it rings out loud and I miss the other strings. Any advice?

I have similar issues. Bouncing off strings or hitting some strings to hard. I’ve been trying to practice with a lighter touch with my pick hand. I think @BanjoBen has a pick hand study. I’ll see if I can find it.
